The intervention is financed by the European Union with funds from the Next Generation EU plan.
The order, worth approximately Euro 4.5 million, is expected to be completed within 418 days and will employ over 40 resources including workers and construction site technicians.
The New Higher Food and Wine Agricultural Education Institute “G. Dessì, provides for the construction replacement of the school building present in the area with a project within the already identified site located within the municipality of Muravera (SU).
The area subject to intervention is located in the locality "Pardu Onnas", close to the former S.S.125 at Km 62, in the southern part of the Municipality of Muravera (SU). This area is located in a slightly urbanized context, being in the open countryside, and borders the land intended for the activity of the agricultural company, which has approximately 7 hectares of agricultural land, within which there is a experimental shade house, which houses various protected species, as well as a 650 m2 greenhouse which houses ornamental, aromatic and nursery plants.
The intervention area has a total of approximately 14,000 m2 distributed in a predominantly flat lot.
The area subject to intervention involves the construction of the school building. In a first initial phase of the works, the existing building will be demolished and the underground level will be created. Once the excavations and the roof slab of the entire basement have been completed, the construction site area will be delimited, concentrating on the construction of the school building.
The objective is to create an innovative school, capable of fitting into the natural and rural context of the area, qualifying it and becoming a strong attractor, giving the new complex a leading role in the redevelopment landscaping, making it a center of attraction and socialization both during school and extracurricular hours, guaranteeing implementation and flexibility of use for both built spaces and open spaces.
